God has big plans for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me. Plans for a hope and a future! ~Jeremiah 29:11

Another weekend, another dollar
Another weekend. I'm in the middle of taking classes to get my Certified Financial Planner (CFP). It takes an additional 20-30 hours of work per week over my full time job. Sometimes it makes life very isolating. I live in this land of never having plans to do anything fun. It's an amazing opportunity to be taking these classes, but it's definitely not easy. I'm writing about it here because I don't want everyone who's supporting me through it to think I'm ungrateful. Because I'm certainly not. But I do get overwhelmed by it. I will be studying the majority of the weekend and taking care of my parents two dogs (in addition to my 2...crazy!) All of this has my anxiety on high alert. I guess, I should try to find some time to relax and remember all of my blessings.

My name is Michelle and I'm a tv-aholic!
I seriously am working about 40-50 hours a week and am putting in 20-30 hours a week into getting my Certified Financial Planning Designation. But, in every other spare minute I'm glued to the boob tube with all of the season premiers this week. It's not necessarily something I'm going to change, I'm just sayin'. :-) I'm not a total loser as I am on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteer on the worship team at my church.
What shows are you all loving? I'm a huge Biggest Loser, Bachelor, Scandal, Nashville and Smash fan. See what I'm talking about?? lol!
Besides that I am making some serious headway on my goals for 2013 already. One of my personal goals is to read 2 books per month. I'm wanting to read one for pleasure and one that will help me be better at my job. So I'm reading A Gift From Tiffany's (obviously for pleasure) and The Excellent Investment Advisor (by Nick Murray, and that's what I do). Also, it looks like I'm not only on track with my goals for January at work, some of them may already being met for my first quarter! Go me! It's definitely motivating to keep doing the small things on a daily basis to make everything happen. Now if I could find the same motivation to get back on the Medifast bandwagon.
Anyway, how are you doing with your goals or 2013 resolutions? I'm working on mine so hard because I always hate when Spring/Summer get here and I realize I'm no where near where I want to be.
Get out there and be inspired!

New Year, New Endeavors!
Welcome to Living in Grace!
My name is Michelle and I'm a 30-something, single, coffee addicted lady who decided to join the bazillions of people who have their own blog...original, I know ;-)
I decided I wanted to start my very own place on the inter-webs that I could call home. I'm not a mom blog, I'm not a food blog, I'm not a weight loss blog. I'm just me. This is just going to be about my life and my journey to living my life in God's grace. Maybe someday I'll get married again and have kids and this'll become a mom blog, maybe I'll become a chef and it'll become a food blog, hopefully I'll lose some weight and can tell you about that, but really this is just an outlet for me to document where I've been, where I am and where I'm headed. I have so much I want to accomplish and I hope to share about it all right here. Hopefully something I say strikes a chord with you and you'll join me in my adventures!
